Dungeon Crate Sampler Box
So! Dungeon Crate, if you've never heard of them, if a subscription box tailor made
with role-players in mind. Not the kind of box that just give items based on
popular fandom or characters, You receive items you will really use during gaming sessions! The Sampler Box is only $20, and features popular items that have appeared in their previous boxes. Cool thing is though, your sampler may be completely different from mine! (I have some bonus items as well to show you other possible items you may receive pictured below.) If you are getting their normal box, though, it's 29.95$ a month, and you receive between 7-10 items
that all come from companies that partner with Dungeon Crate so they may be completely exclusive items! Bonus items come later, for now lets get into what came in the box normally.

Just want to say I adore the outside of the box, and I do like the fact they use a thicker tissue-like paper, but I would adore seeing some of those like zig-zaged 'worms' you see in a lot of boxes. But! No complaints, it's very aesthetically attracting both inside and out!

Well aren't these super awesome! This right here is a sprue of three different zombie models, but unlike most models it doesn't seem like they have a set 'way' you can put them together. There are multiple options of heads, arms, limbs, and such that you can really pick and choose how you want them to look! Also, they are on a nice, thick plastic that doesn't just pull apart easy, so though they are smaller they feel really heavy duty. They were made by the company Mantic Games, and retail for $6.00 I found these really unique and super cool, and honestly I'm glad to have them for future adventures.

Next, I came across these. These are two bookmarks with incredibly lovely art. They feel as though they are made from a really nice, thicker sort of card stock than most bookmarks you would get. They have the same art on them, but the two designs are on either side. I do love these, but I probably will have these around more for art value and marking place during campaigns. These are from the company Nord Games, and I couldn't really find a retail value for the two I had so I will guesstimate between $1-$2.

Going on through, I came across these. They were packaged in a nice little drawstring with an awesome looking pixel art card, telling the details of the business. I love these so much. They look slightly transparent and have little lines etched into them to give them crystal like detail. They fit nice and snug in their base without having to really glue anything in, and they are just super cool to look at in general. The plastic is a nice thick plastic which isn't very brittle at all, and they are really easy to piece together. These are from the company Advanced Deployment and retail for $4.50

Oh man, I immediately had immense happiness upon seeing these. I had seen these beforehand on the site and just thought they were the coolest, so I am really glad to actually have them. These are a set of 6 (only four bases, so I picked some of my favorites out of the lot) elemental mini two-dimensional enemy tokens. The art on these is just fantastic, and really cool to look at. The bases are made of a thick sort of plastic with a slightly curved slot in them for the images. They are thinner plastic that's slightly bendy which you have to sort of curl a little to get them into the base. These are by the company Arknight and retail for $7.00

And this right here I think is my favorite. Well one of them anyway.
This item is another I had seen online in a past crate and I adored it. So immediately when I saw it in my box I was extremely excited. This is a very light wooden coaster, with nice little felt pieces on the bottom to make it easy to move around and not scratch things up. This will get an incredible amount of use, and I may just buy more to have extras for guests, because these are just the coolest things ever. (Okay, I am biased because I like them, but I stand by that) These are made by the company PigseyArt and retail for $5.00

(Don't judge me, I make the rules here, I just really like these)

These are the last two items in the normal box. I paired them together because they are very 'similar' items. Up top you have a mini adventure, that is a simple front and back card stock adventure you can do with I believe 4-8 players. Can't really tell you much about it as you'll have to play these for yourself to experience it. Don't want to ruin the fun~ It comes with a small map on the front and details of enemies and a short story. Now for the bottom. This is a 25(?) page adventure. It has every detail you could look for, and can be implemented into a campaign you are already doing or not. There are different difficulties for different character levels , so it really is suitable for any situation. It's really nicely detailed and long and would take about 3-4 hours to probably play through! Top item is Shrine of the Earth Barons by AAW Games and it retails for $3.00 Bottom item is Creaking in the Dark by NordGames and it retails for $6.00
⋆5/5⋆ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Overall this box was such a magical surprise and journey! I loved everything in it and am so excited to begin my subscription to see what else comes. But that's not what you're here for. So, What was the total? $32.50
For a sampler box that only costs $20, that is absolutely fantastic. Especially seeing as these are items done by companies that really seem to put love and time into these items. Everything was super wonderful quality, and were really unique items! It definitely isn't like any other box whatsoever. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL. Below this are items I received extra, as to show you the different possibility of items you may receive in your Sample Box! From here on out I am not going to give prices, but I will tell companies and give my rating. If you don't care and want to just watch the unboxing or look at the site, here are some links;

This right here is the first of the bonus items, It's the front and back of a lovely Wraith coin by Rare Elements. These are used as currency in your campaign/adventure and are super detailed. They also are nice and heavy and just have that general feeling of quality.

This was the next item I had in my little bonus box and this is extremely nice. It's a metal D20, with a lot of weight to it, it has a beautiful metallic shine and is the size of most average D20. The only thing I worry about is it cracking my glass table when I give it a good roll! Hah!

Reason I didn't tell what company the previous item was from, was because this lovely little set right here is by the same company. These are a mini set of dice with two shades of blue, and a light sort of pearlescent shine to them. They are really cute and fit just perfect in the palm of my hand, and in polar opposite to the other die, I don't feel like these are going to break my table or bounce too far. I adored these both, and they are by the company Metallic Dice Co.

This right here is a really lovely detailed item, and I love it but I had a minor issue.
This Griffon Fountain by Advanced Deployment is made of a very light sort of wood. So the wings, which didn't have much wood in the center, wound up snapping as they were being put on. I mean it's my fault as I should've been more ginger with it, and it's nothing a little glue won't fix, I just figured I should include that . So pardon my wingless griffon.

Last, but certainly not least was this lovely little Raven miniture. This is by the company Dungeon Crawler, and is just the perfect little note to finish this review on. It would be perfect in any game, and is really nice and sturdy! I honestly keep it on my desk as I think it is also really cute to look at. It has really nice detailing as well for something of it's size! So! There you go. I hope this shows you some other alternatives that may show up inside of your sampler! Honestly all these items are worth it, and I would be happy to see them in a box any day! But that's all for me, I'll see you soon with another review! JynxyBox
